Change Windows 7 Taskbar Location

There can be several reasons because of which you may want to change the default location of your Windows 7 taskbar. Some of them may include: You may not like the default ambience of your Windows 7 desktop screen you are habitual of using some other operating system and are new to Microsoft platform and you want to adjust the settings to make yourself comfortable with it you might be using an application that requires more room on your Windows screen and has some valuable controls at the bottom of its interface which you don't want to become unavailable because of the taskbar etc. In any case you can modify the default location of your Windows 7 taskbar without unlocking it. If you want to change the location of your Windows 7 taskbar you need to follow the steps given below:

  1. Logon to the Windows 7 computer with the account for which you want to change the location of the taskbar.
  2. On the desktop screen right click on the taskbar and from the menu click on Properties.
  3. On Taskbar and Start Menu Properties box from the Taskbar location on screen drop-down list choose the appropriate location as per your requirement.
  4. To view the demo click on Apply button and once you are satisfied with the location click on Ok button to make your settings persistent.
