Check Which Graphics Card is Installed in Windows 7 Computer

For many home users and graphics card in desktop computer systems or laptop PCs plays an important role when it comes to high definition movies advanced games or resource intensive animation applications. This is also a fact that a person who is not technically sound and aware about the hardware of computers is not capable of determining as which graphics card is by default installed on the computer or what graphics card should he/she go for if he/she wishes to buy an additional one. In either case users need to know how to check the graphic card which is installed on their desktop computer systems or laptop PCs so that they can accordingly judge as what steps should be taken to solve their purpose. As a Windows 7 user if you want to determine the vendor and other configuration of the graphics card installed on desktop computer or laptop PC you are required to follow the steps given as below:

  1. Logon to Windows 7 computer.

  2. Right click anywhere on the desktop and from the context menu click on Screen resolution.

  3. On the opened window click on Advanced settings link.

  4. On the appeared box make sure that you are on Adapter tab and under Adapter Type section view the name of the vendor of adapter.

  5. Under Adapter Informationsection go through other specifications of the adapter.

  6. Once done close all the opened boxes and Windows.
