While communicating with friends on any post in Facebook users can tag their other friends on the post so that they can also share their views about the topic on which the users are discussing. In this way several friends can be tagged on a single post and when any tagged member comments on that post all the tagged members receive a notification which is flashed on the Facebook webpage. Simultaneously an e-mail notification is also sent to the associated e-mail account and this sometimes may overpopulate e-mail inbox which might not be desired by many users. Therefore in order to avoid this situation users may want to disable this e-mail notification and if as a Facebook user you want to do so you can follow the steps given below:

  1. Logon to your Facebook account.

  2. From the top right corner of the page click on the triangle.

  3. From the available list click on Account Settings.

  4. From the opened page click on Notifications from the left pane.

  5. From the right pane click on Facebook option available under All Notificationscategory.

  6. From the expanded list uncheck the checkbox in front of Comments on a post you were tagged in option and click on Save Changes button to save the changes that you have made.
