Disable Email Notification for Suggested Friends in Facebook

Every individual has a real life social network in which he has several friends and relatives with whom he communicates almost daily. This is a fact as well that every individual nowadays has a Facebook account which he uses to stay connected to all his friends and relatives. Many times when a Facebook user recommends the site to any of his real friend or relative and a new account is created it becomes moral duty of old user to suggest new friends to the new one. Whenever friends are suggested to the new user he receives a notification on the webpage and on the e-mail account associated with the Facebook account simultaneously. Sometimes these e-mail notifications are not required by the users and if as a Facebook user you want to disable these notifications on your e-mail account you can follow the steps given below:

  1. Logon to your Facebook account.

  2. Click on triangle at the top right corner of the page.

  3. From the list click on Account Settings.

  4. On the opened page click on Notifications from the left pane.

  5. From the right pane under All Notifications click on Facebook option.

  6. From the appeared list uncheck the checkbox in front of Suggests a friend you might knowoption.

  7. Once done click on Save Changes button to save the changes.
