As a Facebook user it is expected that you will be tagged in several photos by your friends and whenever this happens you are notified with an e-mail and a flash notification on Facebook webpage. Whenever anyone comments on the photo on which you are tagged the notification that appears displays the name of the photograph followed by the text saying ‘photo of you’. Along with the flash notification on the webpage you also receive an e-mail from Facebook in your associated e-mail account so that you can be notified even if you are not online on Facebook. Sometimes these notifications through e-mails are important whereas there might be times when users might not want these notifications and if as a Facebook user you want to disable this you can follow the steps given below:

  1. Logon to your Facebook account.

  2. Click on the triangle available at top right corner of the page.

  3. From the available list click on Account Settings.

  4. From the opened page in the left pane click on Notifications and from the right section under All Notifications category click on Photos.

  5. From the expanded list uncheck the checkbox in front of Comments on a photo of you option and click on Save Changes button to save the changes.
