Facebook offers yet another unique feature named as Notes which allows users to type in long texts which can then be shared among friends and relatives. Unlike status updates in Facebook Notes can contain practically up to unlimited number of characters and can be saved in the users’ profiles or in Groups. Moreover if you are the creator of any Note you can also tag your friends to it so that they can read the text of your Note. Things are also possible in other way round which means that you can also be tagged in any Note that has been created by any of your friends and once you are tagged you receive a flash notification on the Facebook webpage and simultaneously an e-mail is also sent to the associated e-mail account. These e-mails might sometimes be non-essential and therefore as a Facebook user if you want to disable them you can follow the steps given below:

  1. Logon to your Facebook account.

  2. Click on the triangle facing downwards that is available at top right corner of Facebook webpage.

  3. From the appeared list click on Account Settings.

  4. On the opened page from the left pane click on Notifications.

  5. On the right pane under All Notifications category click on Notesoption.

  6. From the expanded list uncheck the checkbox in front of Tags you in a note option and click on Save Changes button to make the changes permanent.
