In Windows 7 Sticky Keys is a feature which allows slow users to perform any task that requires pressing multiple keys at a time easily. This means that users need not to press all the keys at the same time instead they can press single key involved in the combination at a time. This configuration is highly beneficial for physically challenged users as they are not able to use the keyboard as efficiently as normal people do. By default Sticky keys can be enabled by pressing shift key repeatedly for 5 times. This default configuration was designed to help physically challenged users who can easily enable the feature. However for normal users this configuration might be annoying sometimes especially while playing games in which repeated key strokes are required. As a game lover if you want to disable this default nature of enabling Sticky Keys you are required to follow the steps given below:

  1. Logon to Windows 7 computer with the account on which you want to configure this.

  2. At the bottom of start menu in search box type Change How Your Keyboard Works and press enter key.

  3. On the opened window click on Set up Sticky Keys link.

  4. On Set up Sticky Keys page uncheck Turn on Sticky Keys when SHIFT key is pressed five timescheckbox.

  5. Once done click on Ok button to save the changes and close all the opened Windows and boxes.
