FILEminimizer Pictures Goes Free!!!

Like it or not, Facebook isn’t going to fall anytime soon! To be honest, I can’t say I am crazy about it, but when I see so many image viewers and editors offering that “upload to Facebook” feature, that’s surely a good sign for Mark Zuckerberg’s billion dollar website. Today, one of those many image-related tools became a freebie, and we’re talking about a really good one, namely balesio AG’s FILEminimizer Pictures.

Sure, FILEminimizer Pictures may not be a tool for experts, but it surely helps people who simply don’t want to become experts in keeping their images good looking but not as large as they come out of their digital cameras/scanners/various programs. Fortunately, some experts will surely love this program, too, since there’s also a custom compression preset waiting for them, not just Web/Email, Standard and Low compression level. Excellent!

The sad part of the story? This program can only save to JPEG and there’s no Mac/Linux version available, but I am sure you weren’t expecting the perfect piece of code to go free, right? All in all, FILEminimizer Pictures is a program worth checking out, and not just because it became freeware, trust me! ;)
