When I say that I stopped using any kind of office suite, people look to me like I would look at someone telling me he/she has no idea about a thing called “the Internet,” but the difference is that I can get the job done without using an office suite, although I am involved in quite a lot of office work. How’s this possible? Online tools, that’s the answer, and since most of you already heard about Google Docs, I will tell you a few words about probably the best PowerPoint replacement you can get for free and without installing a single bit of code on your computer (no, it doesn’t have anything to do with Google Docs, although that suite also has some presentation-creating capabilities), namely 280 Slides!
According to its authors, “280 Slides is designed to really look and feel like the desktop based applications people are used to,” and what I can tell you is that, if you really need to create some presentation, this online tool beats Microsoft’s PowerPoint from most points of view. I discovered it earlier today, but I already love this tool! Just think about these – text, graphics, videos, free to use, and once you register, you can save and share your presentations online, but what I really like about 280 Slides is its speed, not to mention the excellent look & feel…
