Managing Add-ons in IE in Windows 7

Add-ons in Internet Explorer in Windows 7 allow users to enable some additional features in the application. These features may include search bars offered by various search engines for example Yahoo Google Bing etc. Moreover some accelerators like Maps E-Mails Translate etc. can also be installed in the form of add-ons in Internet Explorer in Windows 7. Toolbar extensions and ActiveX controls add-ons can also be installed in Internet Explorer offered by Windows 7 operating system. Also several add-ons can be installed in the web browser however there is still a limit as the more the add-ons are installed the reduced performance users will experience. The best part is that add-ons can be enabled or disabled as per the requirements and they are not required to be permanently uninstalled if they are not required. Any Windows 7 user can manage these add-ons according to the requirements and can customize their availability as desired. As a Windows 7 user if you want to manage these add-ons you are required to follow the steps given below:

  1. Logon to Windows 7 computer with the user account in which you want to manage add-ons.

  2. Click on Start to and from the available list click on Control Panel.

  3. From the opened page click on Network and Internet link and from the appeared page click on Internet Options.

  4. On Internet Properties box go to Programs tab and under Manage add-ons section click on Manage Add-onsbutton to add or remove the add-ons.

  5. Once done click on Ok buttons on all the opened boxes to save the changes you have made.
