Rapidshare Alternative Of the Week - FileSift

Yesterday I got another confirmation that using DuckDuckGo instead of Google as my default search engine was a really smart move - finding the RapidShare alternative of the week was much easier than before since DuckDuckGo seems to deliver less crap and more relevant results than the current market leader. Well done guys! Now I think we can move to FileSift since time is the most precious asset we have in life - most diseases can be cured money lost can be recovered beloved ones who died can be remembered... but time never gets back so let's get to the topic!

FileSift looks pretty bad - just take a look at that awful logo!!! - but the really important stuff looks really good - you can upload one or two files with a total size of up to 200 MB without bothering to register both download and upload speeds are very good while registering for a free account increases the size limit to 700 MB reduces the delay when downloading from 60 to 35 seconds increases file life on server from 15 to 60 days after the last download while providing a maximum download volume of 5000 MB in 3 days compared to 1000 MB in 3 days for files uploaded without creating an account.

As you probably imagined already there's also a FileSift Premium subscription available - a full year is priced at 60 USD offering 1000 MB upload at once limit 25000 MB storage space (compared to none without creating an account obviously and 10000 MB for freely registered users) a download volume of 20000 MB in 3 days no delay and eternal life for your files. Awesome! At last if we get back to the bad things I should add captcha and waiting time when downloading files but I think one can live with them. After all FileSift works well enough to be able to get over these minor issues if you ask me so... this is it folks - the RapidShare alternative of the week - ta-taaa! :)
