Change the Size of Desktop Icons in Windows 7

With the release of Microsoft Windows 7 the size of the icons on the desktop has also been changed. This modification has disturbed majority of users in a great deal. Hopefully Microsoft has already pre-estimated these consequences and therefore it has provided the facility of changing the size of the icons as per users’ requirements. Although changing the size of the icons was also possible in legacy versions of operating systems but users need to go through several dialogue boxes and menus in order to do so. However in Windows 7 the process has become quite simpler and users can change the size of the icons within the blink of their eyes. Although there are several ways to do so in Windows 7 but the easiest way that can be followed by the users in order to change the size of the icons of the desktop is mentioned as below:

  1. Logon to Windows 7 computer with the account on which you need to modify the size of desktop icons.
  2. Once Windows is booted make sure that you are on the desktop screen and press down and hold Ctrl key and scroll the mouse wheel up or down to increase or decrease the size of the icons.
  3. Once you are convinced with the size release the mouse wheel and Ctrl key.
