Since Facebook allows users to upload their photographs and images on their profiles it also allows them to create several albums which can be considered as virtual stores that can be used to save pictures of common categories. Users can secure their accounts so that only added friends can view the photographs and by default it allows only added friends to comment on the photographs in their friends’ albums. Whenever a user receives a comment on his photograph in Facebook a notification is flashed on the webpage if he is online and if he is not online the notification can be seen in unread notifications section that is available on Facebook webpage itself. Simultaneously an e-mail notification for the comment is also sent to the associated e-mail account which can sometimes overpopulate the inbox and as a Facebook user if you want to disable this feature you can follow the steps given below:

  1. Logon to your Facebook account and click on the triangle available at top right corner of the page.

  2. From the available list click on Account Settings option.

  3. From the left pane on the opened page click on Notifications category.

  4. From the right section under All Notifications category click on Photosoption.

  5. From the expanded list uncheck the checkbox in front of Comments on your photos option and finally click on Save Changes button to save the changes.
