Since Facebook allows users to upload photos and images on their own Walls or in groups the site also allows them to tag their friends on the uploaded photographs. If you are a Facebook user and you are tagged on a photograph by your friend you receive a notification which is flashed on Facebook webpage. Simultaneously an e-mail notification for the tagged photograph is also sent to the e-mail account associated with your Facebook account. Sometimes these e-mails are necessary for many users in order to maintain records and official documentations however in many cases users may not want these e-mail notifications to be sent to their e-mail accounts at all. If as a Facebook user you want to disable this feature of sending e-mail notifications to your e-mail account you can follow the steps given below:

  1. Logon to your Facebook account by providing appropriate credentials.

  2. Click on the triangle at the top right corner of the main page.

  3. From the list click on Account Settings and from the opened page click on Notifications from the left pane.

  4. From the right pane click on Photos option available under All Notifications category and uncheck the checkbox in front of Tags you in a photooption from the expanded list.

  5. Finally click on Save Changes button when done.
