Since Facebook is a social networking site it allows users to create Groups which can contain several members of common interests so that they can communicate with each other separately. While creating Facebook Groups Group creators can specify the names of the Groups which they can change from time to time according to their requirements. When Groups are created by default the creators of the Groups become the only administrators of those particular Groups and they become authorized individuals to add as many members to the Groups as they want. Also as administrators of Groups they can rename them whenever they want. If you are a member of any such Group and the name of the Group is renamed by its administrator you receive a notification flashed on the webpage and simultaneously you get a notification e-mail which is sent on the e-mail account associated with your Facebook profile. As a Facebook user you can disable this feature by following the steps given below:

  1. Logon to your Facebook account.

  2. Click on the triangle available at top right corner of the page.

  3. From the list click on Account Settings.

  4. From the opened page from the left section click on Notifications category.

  5. From the right pane under All Notifications section click on Groupsoption to get the expanded list.

  6. On the available options uncheck the checkbox in front of Change the name of one of your groups option and click on Save Changes button to save the changes.
