Disable Facebook Email Notifications for a Group from Settings Box

As a Facebook user there might be times when you want to disable notifications via e-mail for an individual Group. Although you can configure this by going to Account Settings option but that can sometimes be a lengthy process which you might not want to go for. Keeping this in mind Facebook also allows users to disable e-mail notifications for individual Groups right from the Settings box of that particular Group as well. Along with other notifications about Settings for a particular Group users can also disable the email notifications by just unchecking a checkbox. Moreover using these steps allow users to remain on the page of the Group. As a Facebook user if you want to disable e-mail notifications for a particular Group you can follow the steps given below:

  1. Logon to your Facebook account by providing credentials.

  2. From the left pane of the Facebook main page click on the name of the group for which you want to disable e-mail notifications.

  3. On the opened page from the top right corner click on Notifications button and from the available list click on Settings.

  4. On the opened box uncheck Also send an e-mail to: xxxx@xxxxx (where xxxx = any value) checkbox and click on Save Changes button.
