Once a Facebook Event is created and you are invited to join it you become an active member of that Event and therefore you are always notified about every update and activity that takes place in that Event. Since Facebook is a social networking website any changes that take place or any activity that is initiated by any user is displayed as a notification to all the participating candidates and active members. Same is the case with any update that takes place in any Facebook Event where every member is informed through flash notification and simultaneously an e-mail notification is also sent to the associated e-mail account. However if as a Facebook user you want to disable this e-mail notification feature you can follow the steps given below:

  1. Logon to your Facebook account.

  2. Click on the triangle available at top right corner of the page.

  3. From the appeared list click on Account Settings.

  4. On the opened page in the left pane click on Notifications category and from the right section click on Events option under All Notificationscategory.

  5. From the expanded list uncheck the checkbox in front of Updates an event you’ve joined and click on Save Changes button to save the changes.
