Do Not Allow Friends to Write on Your Facebook Wall

Just like any other social networking site Facebook also allows is account holders to update their status on regular basis. Status of account holders can be specified on a particular area which in Facebook is known as Wall. An added advantage while using Facebook Wall is that users can post and share audio video and image files which can then be displayed to all the users who are added in the account holder’s friends list. Moreover as a default Facebook characteristic any user can write on any of his friends Facebook Wall and can post and share above mentioned files as well. This is the default configuration which provides write access on friends Walls however if users want they can disable this feature so that only the user himself can write on its own wall and no one else. As a Facebook account holder if you want to lock your wall for everybody else you can follow the steps given below:

  1. Logon to your Facebook account by providing credentials.

  2. Click on down facing triangle in the top right corner of the main page.

  3. From the available list of options click on Privacy Settings.

  4. On the opened page click on Edit Settings link in front of How You Connect category.

  5. On the opened box click on the drop-down list button available in front of Who can post on your Wall?

  6. Choose the desired option from the available list which in this case is Only Me.

  7. Finally click on Done button to save the changes.
