Do Not Make BitComet Default at Startup in Windows 7

It is very common that Windows 7 users may install more than one torrent client applications on a single PC. The most versatile and sophisticated torrent application according to the stats is BitComet that provides several user-friendly features to allow downloads in a secure manner while providing optimum performance at the same time. Because of these features available in the application it is always recommended that BitComet torrent client application should always be kept as default downloading tool and by default the application is configured to check if it is the default torrent client application at every start-up. However if because of any reason users may want to disable this feature in Windows 7 computer they can follow the steps provided below to do so:

  1. Logon to Windows 7 computer on which BitComet torrent client application is successfully installed. Also for testing purpose install one or more torrent client applications on the very same computer.

  2. Open BitComet torrent client application by double-clicking on its icon available on the desktop or start menu.

  3. Click on Tools menu and from the available list click on Options option.

  4. From the opened box in the left pane click on Integration category.

  5. From the right pane under Windows Integration category uncheck Always become the default torrent client on startupcheckbox.

  6. Click on Ok once you are done with the configuration.
