As the default nature of any operating system developed by Microsoft whenever a user deletes the file or folder the confirmation box is displayed to ensure if the user actually wants to delete the file. This confirmation box is a kind of abstraction in deletion process for users’ own security. However many times users may not want to get obstructed because of these several confirmation boxes that appear on their monitor screens. The reason behind this might be the delay in work because of them. As a normal home user you can easily configure your Windows 7 computer to delete the files or folders without any information boxes. (Note: this configuration should not be implemented in production environments to avoid any unexpected disasters). You can configure the above mentioned setting by following the steps given below:

  1. Logon to your computer with the account having administrative powers.
  2. Right click on Recycle Bin icon and from the menu go to Properties.
  3. On Recycle Bin Properties box uncheck Display delete confirmation dialog checkbox and click on Ok button to accept and confirm your settings.
