Register Mobile Phone with Yahoo! Messenger in Windows 7

Unlike several other chat messaging applications available on the Internet Yahoo! Messenger offers users to register their mobile numbers so that they can logon to mobile devices when they are not logged on from computer systems. In order to logon to mobile devices the registration process which involves requires users to input their mobile numbers and then they receive an authentication message on their specified mobile numbers for verification. Once their mobile numbers are verified they can then logon to mobile devices instead of completely signing out from Yahoo! Messenger. While registering mobile numbers with Yahoo! Messenger it is strongly recommended that users should provide their genuine mobile numbers so that things can work smoothly. As Yahoo! Messenger user in Windows 7 if you want to register your mobile number with Yahoo! you are required to follow the steps given below:

  1. Logon to Windows 7 computer and then logon to Yahoo! Messenger by providing appropriate credentials.

  2. Click on Messenger menu on Yahoo! Messenger main window and from the available list of options click on Preferences.

  3. On the opened box from the left pane make sure that you are on General category.

  4. From the right pane under Signing out of Yahoo! Messenger section click on Edit Mobile Phone button.

  5. On the opened box specify your genuine mobile number along with your country code in the available text box and choose your country from the available drop-down list.

  6. Click on Continue button and follow the on-screen instructions to register your mobile number.
