Rename Ripped Music Files in Windows 7

Since Windows Media Player offers a feature of ripping the music files right from audio CDs it makes WMP even more versatile when it also allows users to convert music files to the formats of their own choices. The biggest challenge in these cases is the name of the files which are being ripped by Windows Media Player as the names sometimes might be quite confusing. To eliminate these problems users can allow Windows Media Player to force renaming of ripped music files according to the settings configured. By default Windows Media Player does not allow files to be automatically renamed after they are ripped however if as a Windows 7 user you want to rename the files according to the settings you are required to follow the steps given below:

  1. Logon to Windows 7 computer.

  2. Click on the icon of Windows Media Player that is available in taskbar to open the application.

  3. On the opened interface click on Organize menu and from the appeared list click on Options.

  4. On the opened box make sure that you are on Library tab.

  5. Check Rename music files using rip music settings checkbox.

  6. Finally click on Ok button to save the changes.
