View Active Logon Sessions on Facebook Account

In order to maintain the security and secrecy of any Facebook user Facebook provides a monitoring tool using which users can view the sessions that were created while logging on to their user accounts. When these sessions are recorded approximate location of the user is also mentioned and displayed which is helpful in determining if the logon session that was initiated was from the trusted location that is from the user's PC and area itself. In case any user finds that the any previous session was initiated from a different location he can immediately take appropriate action to increase the security of his Facebook account. As a Facebook account holder if you want to monitor any previous logon session you can follow the steps given below:

  1. Logon to your Facebook account by providing appropriate credentials.

  2. Click on the triangle available at the top right corner of the page.

  3. From the available list click on Account Settings.

  4. From the opened page click on Securitycategory available in the left pane.

  5. In the right pane on the new page click on Active Sessions option to view current and previous active sessions which also includes time of logon operating system and Internet web browser used.
