Not many people know that Windows 7 has multiple different themes that can be used according to the locale that is selected while installing the operating system. For example if the locale that is selected during installation says that the PC is from Africa the theme and the wallpapers for that particular time zone will automatically be displayed. Since this configuration is system specific it is not easily visible every user. However you can still view the wallpapers and apply the themes as per your convenience if you want. Even as a normal user if you want to view the secret wallpapers of Windows 7 you need to follow the steps given below:

  1. Logon to your Windows 7 computer with the account on which you want to apply the wallpaper from different locale and click on Start button.
  2. From the start menu go to Computer to open Windows Explorer.
  3. Go to the following path: C:WindowsGlobalisationMCT where you will find various folders for separate time zones and locales and you need to select any one from them.
  4. Open any folder of your choice and browse through the various subfolders containing different objects in it. The objects may contain theme files wallpapers etc.

Note:

Since locale specific themes and wallpapers are configured by Windows itself they are hidden by default. In order to access MCT folder you need to configure your computer to show all hidden files and folders. Alternatively you type the path directly either in Run Command box or in Search Box.
