Yahoo Meme, The Twitter Alternative - Open To Everyone!

In the last year I got tired to see so many Twitter clones that simply copied the original without even trying to improve it. I don't know what you think but I bet there's a lot to be improved there especially since I really believe that Twitter is one of the lamest successful online services ever. Say what you want but I won't change my mind! These being said it was great to find out that Yahoo! Meme is opening itself to the public so let me tell you a few things about it...

I guess I don't have to ask you if you know what Twitter is because I am sure you do. For me it's a stupid site for those who think that posting a few words and shortened links is fancy a site that generated a lot of money to some people and companies. I guess I don't have to enter the realm deeper and talk about those insanely expensive Twitter tools and so on do I? After all this should only be about Yahoo Meme so let's leave Twitter in the dust where it belongs and move on to this brand new thing shall we?

Words images and videos - these are the three major elements we encounter in all our online trips and Meme offers easy access to all of them. No URL shorteners needed just one Yahoo! account and a few minutes to get started! Sure you can use Meme even if you don't have such an account already but if you do everything takes just a few moments. If you don't you'll have to create the Yahoo! account first but that can't take more than just a few minutes either so I don't think there's any reason for you to avoid checking out this excellent service!

To see how a nicely done Meme page looks I suggest the "official Meme Meme page" available here. If you're a developer I suggest keeping an eye on this one because if Yahoo! does things right Meme could be a big success and if you're one of those who use Twitter to promote things you'd better get your Meme page up and running as soon as possible. Good luck to you all and a huge thumbs up to Yahoo! for coming up with this excellent service!
