In Microsoft Windows 7 when properties of Computer are displayed the logo of Original Equipment Manufacturer or OEM is displayed. Default configuration displays the logo of the manufacturer of the machine which helps users to identify as which vendor the machine belongs to. In production environments this feature helps a lot to the administrators as they can easily identify and assess which backup image should be used to restore the operating system of which computer. However in home environments where users normally love to play with the operating system this logo can be modified and any other image can be used instead.
