Disable All Balloon Notifications in Windows 7

With the release of Microsoft Windows 7 operating system notifications to the users given by the machine have also been modified and have been made even more efficient so that users need not to wander around all over the computer to find the updated information regarding anything. Although notifications play an important role as far as updates of the operating system are concerned however sometimes these notifications can become annoying for the users who are not technically sound. When this is the case many administrators of computers may want to disable the notification balloons in Windows 7 so that they can cause no more nuisances to the users. As an administrator of a Windows 7 computer in any home environment if you want to disable notification balloons you are required to follow the steps given below:

  1. Logon to Windows 7 computer with the account that has administrative privileges.

  2. Click on Start button and at the bottom of the available menu in search box type GPEDIT.MSC and press enter.

  3. On Local Group Policy Editor snap-in under User Configuration expand Administrative Templates and from the available list click on Start Menu and Taskbar from the left pane.

  4. From the right pane double-click on Turn off all balloon notifications.

  5. On the opened box click on Enable radio button to select and finally click on Okbutton to save the changes that you have made.

  6. If required restart your computer.
