Disable Birthday Email Notification on Facebook

Remembering birthdays of friends and relatives is a task which people generally forget. In order to memories or recall birthdays of their friends or relatives users many times set reminders on their mobile phones or Outlook Express. While using Facebook Facebook itself reminds users about the birthdays of their friends on daily basis on the very first page of their profiles. Simultaneously an e-mail notification is also sent to their e-mail accounts which are associated with their Facebook accounts and these e-mails are sent by Facebook on a weekly basis. For people who are not so regular on Facebook these e-mail notifications can be important in order to remember the birthdays however for people who are regular visitors of Facebook these e-mail notifications might not be mandatory and if as a Facebook account holder you want to disable this is can follow the steps given below:

  1. Logon to your Facebook user account.

  2. Click on the triangle available at the top right corner of the main profile page.

  3. From the available list click on Account Settings.

  4. On the opened page from the left pane click on Notifications category.

  5. From the right pane under All Notifications section click on Facebook.

  6. From the available list uncheck the checkbox in front of **Has a birthday coming up (weekly email)**option.

  7. Click on Save Changes button to save the changes.
