Disable Email Notifications for Comments on Facebook Albums

Since Facebook allows its users to create several albums which can be used to store photos of common categories in each album it also allows friends of the album holders to comment on entire album in a single go. When this happens album owners receive a flash notification on the webpage of Facebook itself indicating about the received comment and simultaneously they receive an e-mail notification on the e-mail account associated with Facebook as well. Sometimes these notifications which are sent through e-mails serve their purpose well by informing the users about the received comments even if they are not logged on to Facebook however there might be times when users might not want these e-mails from Facebook at all. If as a Facebook user you do not want to receive these notification e-mails from Facebook you can disable this feature by following the steps given below:

  1. Logon to your Facebook account.

  2. Click on the triangle available at top right corner of the main page of Facebook.

  3. From the available list click on Account Settings.

  4. From the opened page in the left section click on Notifications option.

  5. From the right pane under All Notifications category click on Photosoption.

  6. From the expanded list uncheck the checkbox in front of Comments on your photo albums option and finally click on Save Changes button to make the changes permanent.
