Content advisor in Windows 7 is a unique feature that helps preventing your kids from visiting the sites that they are not supposed to. Example contents may include nudity violence porn etc. This problem is not only faced by the parents who want to protect their children from porn sites but can also make a computer vulnerable in production environments. In Windows 7 Internet Explorer 8 handles this through Content Advisor. When Content Advisor finds the user going to a restricted page it issues a warning. As default nature Content Advisor is capable of blocking the web pages which are considered unrated as it cannot identify as which page should be allowed. When you go to an unrated page you will be presented with a dialog saying you cannot view the page. You can restrict the websites you think should not be visited by any user and also you can categorize them as desired. You can also delete sites from this list. Turning Content Advisor off can be done by clicking the Disable button and specifying the password. To manage this follow the steps below:

  1. Logon to Windows 7 computer..

  2. Click Start button then click Control Panel.

  3. Open Internet Options.

  4. Go to Content tab.

  5. Under Content Advisor section click Enable button.

  6. Now you can manage you content advisor as per your choice.
