BitComet is bandwidth intensive application which consumes a lot of Internet bandwidth while downloading any file. Moreover this application also consumes some processing which may affect any other application that runs in the background or foreground of the operating system. To compensate all these drawbacks BitComet provides a feature of auto shut down which enables users to configure the application to shut down the operating system which in this case is Windows 7 according to the time of their choices. The best part is that users can specify an exact time at which the application enforces the system to shut down automatically whatsoever the state of downloading process is. When this is configured all the downloading tasks are halted and are resumed when the application is re-initiated. As a BitComet user in Windows 7 if you want to schedule shutdown time of the computer you are required to follow the steps given below:

  1. Logon to Windows 7 computer with any account.

  2. Double-click on the icon of BitComet application to open its interface.

  3. Once opened click on Tools menu.

  4. On the available list go to Auto Shutdown and from the appeared submenu click on At specified time (23:30) option.

  5. On Set auto-shutdown time box specify the time as required and click on Okbutton when you are done.
