Set Status Message in Yahoo! Messenger in Windows 7

Unlike many other chat messengers available around the globe Yahoo! Messenger allows users to set a status message on the interface which other users can see. Status message which is set in Yahoo! Messenger is to make other users understand what you are thinking about and what is in your mind. Status message also represents the current state of your mood. The process of setting status message is very straightforward and simple and no technicalities are at all involved in it. However it still requires a few mouse clicks and some keystrokes to type in the message. As Yahoo! Messenger user in Windows 7 if you want to specify status message to let people know what is in your mind you are required to follow the steps provided below:

  1. Logon to Windows 7 computer and double-click on the icon of Yahoo! Messenger to open its interface.

  2. Provide appropriate credentials on the first screen and click on Sign In button to logon to the messenger.

  3. Once logged on click on Messenger menu and from the options go to My Availability.

  4. From the available submenu click on My Status Message.

  5. You'll automatically be taken to the main interface of the application and the cursor will be positioned to the area where you can type status message.

Note: You can also type in the status message by clicking on the status message area directly.
