Safe Mode in Windows 7 is a mode in which the operating system starts where only essential services and drivers are loaded into the memory. When the operating system is booted in normal mode almost all services and drivers are automatically initiated and if the computer is infected with some virus applications they are also initiated at the same time. When this happens users are not able to delete those virus applications and even if they run any antivirus program to remove them they fail to do so as well. The reason behind this is that when a file is being the used by the Windows Windows does not allow the file to be modified or deleted whatsoever. In order to delete these files or remove any unwanted drivers users need to boot Windows 7 in safe mode and as a Windows 7 user if you want to do so you are required to follow the steps given as below:

  1. Make sure that your computer is connected to the power supply.

  2. Power on the computer and start pressing F8 key repeatedly till the time a list of boot options is displayed.

  3. On the list of boot options the very first option that is displayed will be Safe Mode and it will be selected as default.

  4. Hit enter key to boot Windows 7 in Safe Mode.
