Use Word Filter in Yahoo! Messenger in Windows 7

Since Yahoo! Messenger is a publicly used chat messenger application and is absolutely free of cost anybody can download the software from the Internet and can install it on his/her computer system and can start using it. The fact that always has remained the same is that Internet is considered as a place where every kind of person logs on daily. Yahoo! Messenger chat application is also not left untouched from these users. In other words even users with bad intentions or unhealthy mental attitude use Yahoo! Messenger and chat on regular basis. These users normally use foul language many times which might not be appropriate and liked by decent and sophisticated people. When this is the case users can configure Yahoo! Messenger to filter these words so that they are not displayed on their chat windows. As Yahoo! Messenger user if you want to configure this in Windows 7 operating system you are required to follow the steps given below:

  1. Logon to Yahoo! Messenger chat application by providing appropriate credentials.

  2. Click on Messenger menu and then click on Preferences option.

  3. On the opened box in the left pane choose Chat category from the available list of categories.

  4. From the right pane choose the appropriate radio button in front of Word Filtersection.

  5. Click on Ok button when done.
