Adding Themes to Windows 7 Media Center

Windows Media Center is a new feature and is introduced in Microsoft Windows 7 which allows users to experience complete multimedia functions offered by the application in the operating system. Windows Media Center also allows users to watch TV channels in case they have TV tuner card installed in their computers. The default ambiance that is exposed to the Windows Media Center users is very simple and might sometimes become quite boring especially for fun loving people. To solve this problem Microsoft has offered a feature of changing themes as per users’ requirements and wishes. Changing the default theme or color scheme in Windows media Center application is a simple process and as a Windows 7 administrator or any standard user if you want to do so you need to follow the steps given as below:

  1. Logon to Windows 7 computer with any standard user or administrator account.

  2. At the bottom of start menu in search box type Windows Media Center and press enter key.

  3. On opened application interface click on Start button and from the available list of controls scroll locate and click Settings.

  4. On the appeared list click on General.

  5. On the submenu of General category click on Visual and Sound Effects.

  6. On the appeared page under Color scheme choose the appropriate radio button as required to update color scheme and click on Save button.

  7. You will find the instantaneous change in the scheme color of Windows Media Center.
