Since Yahoo! Messenger chat application is by default configured to provide the best possible security to the users video calls that are initiated by them are also not left behind in this regard. This simply means that if a user is available on a webcam while using Yahoo! Messenger and if any of his friends’ requests to view him a notification is sent to the user asking for his approval. In case the broadcasting user denies the request the requesting party cannot to view the webcam. This configuration is suitable for people who have several Yahoo! Messenger online friends added in their messenger lists and want to ensure that only trusted ones can view their webcams. In some conditions however when users have only trusted members added in their messenger lists they can configure the application to allow the requesting parties to view their webcams without any approvals. As a Yahoo! Messenger user in Windows 7 if you want to configure this you can follow the steps given below:

  1. Provide appropriate credentials in Yahoo! Messenger application and once logged in go to Messenger menu.

  2. From the available list click on Preferences.

  3. From the left pane on the opened box click on Webcam category.

  4. From the right pane under When someone tries to view my webcam section select the radio button that says Allow everyone to view my webcamby clicking on it.

  5. Click on Ok button to save the changes.
