Change Windows 7 Desktop Wallpaper

As legacy versions of Windows based operating systems Microsoft Windows 7 also offers the facility of changing the desktop wallpapers as per users will. In other words users can place the desktop wallpapers of their own choices and they are not at all limited to the images which are by default shipped along with Windows 7 operating system. Recommendations however are that the wallpapers that users choose should be of HD (high definition) so that the decorum of the operating system is kept intact. Moreover choosing inappropriate image file may also result in decreased graphical display which further may reduce the visual effects of the operating system and hence the final output my not be as promising as claimed by Microsoft. Whatsoever the case is if as a Windows 7 user you want to change desktop wallpaper of the Windows you are required to follow the steps given as below:

  1. Logon to Windows 7 computer with any account as the process does not require any elevated privileges.

  2. Right click anywhere on the desktop and from the context menu click on Personalize.

  3. From the opened box click on Desktop background link.

  4. On the newly opened box click on Browse button on Picture location category.

  5. On Browse For Folder box locate the folder where the desired image is stored and click on Ok button.

  6. Back on the previous page select the desired image that you want to assign as desktop wallpaper and finally click on Save changesbutton to save the changes.
