Although Yahoo! Messenger is capable of automatically determining the type of Internet connection speed that is used by the user while connecting to the Internet however it is always advisable that users should specify the speed manually to experience the most efficient performance by the application. This also saves some processing consumption that application otherwise uses in order to negotiate the connection speed automatically. Since configuring Yahoo! Messenger chat application does not require any highly qualified technical professional and standard users can also configure the software to best fit their requirements with just a few mouse clicks setting up Internet connection speed in the application is not a big deal for any chat user. 4. From the right pane under Internet Connectiondrop-down list choose the appropriate option as per the Internet connection you have.
