It is obvious that you are interested in expanding your social network and that is the reason you have created a profile on Facebook. It is also expected from you that once you have created your profile you will try to contact as many people as you can so that your social network can be expanded quickly. In order to expand your social network there might be times when you will send requests to join Facebook Groups where you can find people of common interests. Whenever you send a request to join a group the admin of that Group receives a notification and as soon as he approves your request you are notified by a flash notification of the main webpage. An e-mail notification is also sent to your associated e-mail account and if as a Facebook user you want to disable this e-mail notifications sending feature you need to follow the steps given below:

  1. Logon to your Facebook account by providing appropriate credentials and click on the triangle available at top right corner of the page.

  2. From the available list click on Account Settings option and from the opened page in the left pane click on Notifications option.

  3. From the right pane under All Notifications category click on Groupsoption.

  4. From the expanded list uncheck the checkbox in front of Approves your request to join a group option and click on Save Changes button to make the changes permanent.
