To make Facebook look more realistic it offers several other features which are not at all provided by any other social networking site. One of the features that makes Facebook unique is Events that can be created by any user and once an Event is created the creator of the Event can invite as many people as he wants so that they can participate in the Event. As a Facebook user you can also be invited to any Event by another Facebook user and once you are invited you receive a flashing notification on the webpage along with an e-mail notification that is sent from Facebook to the associated e-mail account. However if you want you can disable this e-mail notification feature for Events invitations by following the steps given below:

  1. Logon to your Facebook account.

  2. Click on the triangle available at top right corner of the page.

  3. From the available list click on Account Settings and from the opened page from the left pane click on Notifications option.

  4. From the right section of the page under All Notifications click on Events option and from the expanded list uncheck the checkbox in front of Invites you to an eventoption.

  5. Finally click on Save Changes button to save the changes.
