Disable Email Notifications from Unwanted Facebook Groups

While using Facebook account you might be admin of several Groups and there might be thousands of them in which you might be added as a member. Whenever any activity takes place in any Group you are automatically notified by the flashing notifications on Facebook webpage and simultaneously a notification e-mail is also sent to the associated e-mail account for your profile. The fact cannot be denied that even though you are member of several Groups there might be certain Groups in which you might not be very active and therefore e-mails from those Groups might not be of use to you. In such cases it is recommended that you should turn off e-mail notifications from those Groups permanently and forever and as a Facebook user if you want to do so you can follow the steps given below:

  1. Logon to your Facebook account.

  2. Click on the triangle available at top right corner of the page.

  3. From the available list click on Account Settings and from the opened page from the left pane click on Notifications.

  4. From the right section under All Notifications category click on Groups option and from the expanded list click on Change email settings for individual groupslink.

  5. On Group Email Settings box uncheck the checkboxes representing the name of the Groups from where you do not want to receive any e-mail notification and finally click on Save button to save the changes.
