While using Facebook it is obvious that you will regularly post something on either your Wall or in any group and you can also post something on your friends’ Walls as well. Whatsoever the case is your post can be liked by several people and to express their feelings Facebook allows users to click on Like link so that they can show people that have liked the post. When you post something on a Wall and any user likes it you receive a notification which is flashed on the Facebook website and simultaneously a notification e-mail is also sent to the e-mail account associated with the Facebook account. In many cases this e-mail notification is not at all required and therefore as a Facebook user if you want to disable this you can follow the steps given below:

  1. Logon to your Facebook account.

  2. Click on the triangle which is available at the top right corner of the page.

  3. From the available options list click on Account Settings.

  4. From the opened page in the left pane click on Notifications and from the right section of the page click on Facebook under All Notificationscategory.

  5. In expanded list uncheck the checkbox in front of Likes your post option and click on Save Changes button.
