Display Dialog Box for Yahoo! Mail Notification in Windows 7

While using Yahoo! Messenger whenever a user receives a message in his Yahoo! mailbox a notification message is displayed at the bottom right corner of the screen and an icon is also appeared at the same place. Since the notification appears just for few seconds it is quite possible that users may oversee it and may skip any important information that might require their immediate attention. Since Yahoo! Messenger is completely customizable users can configure the application to display a dialog box whenever any e-mail arrives in the mail box. This means that whenever an inbox receives an e-mail apart from all other notifications a dialog box is popped up in front of user so that he can be notified instantaneously about the message. As Yahoo! Messenger user in Windows 7 if you want to configure the application to display a dialogue box you are required to follow the steps given below:

  1. Logon to Yahoo! Messenger by providing appropriate credentials.

  2. Click on Messenger menu and then click on Preferences.

  3. From the available list of categories click on Alerts & Sounds from the left pane.

  4. From the right pane under Alert me when section click on I receive a message in Yahoo! Mail option.

  5. Under Alert me by section check Displaying a dialog boxcheckbox.

  6. Click on Ok button to save the changes.
