Software Alternatives & More

These days there are plenty of alternatives for virtually anything you can think of from natural food to software but not all of them are better than the real thing. While natural food free of those deadly chemicals you find in virtually almost every supermarket product that's supposed to be good to eat or drink everything's much better in the software world - free or not there's always a great alternative to your old tools just waiting to be discovered... and if you don't have the friends I have AlternativeTo is nothing but pure gold!

AlternativeTo does more than just offering alternatives to various applications/services without giving the entire deal a human touch since you'll surely notice that a lot of people are interacting on the site always providing helpful information. The official mumbo-jumbo goes like this: "AlternativeTo is a new approach to finding good software. Tell us what application you want to replace and we give you great alternatives based on user recommendations." What's so great about AlternativeTo? Well it started without trying to provide thousands of useless alternatives to thousands of various applications/services that only a few people use but provided the best in the following areas: Windows Mac Linux iPhone Android Win Phone S60 and Online. In the future I think Food would also be a great addition... but if you want to get serious then there's nothing else to do but visit this excellent site and try to spice up your computer a little I am sure you'll find at least one or two programs/online services that you'll like more than what you're currently using not to mention those excellent mobile apps you can find here.
