In Windows 7 when any application starts its default Window state is Normal. This means that the application will open in default window state when it is initiated by the user. Some applications run in full screen mode whereas others in normal size window (depending on the nature of the software and screen resolution of the operating system). Users sometimes however may want to modify the default window state of the application as per the requirements and/or their personal choices. To modify the default Window state of any application you can follow the steps given below:

  1. Logon to your Windows 7 computer on which you want to modify the default Window state of the application when it starts.
  2. On the desktop right click on the shortcut of the application and from the appeared menu choose Properties to click on.
  3. On the Properties box make sure that you are on Shortcut tab and from the drop-down list of Run: section on the tab choose the appropriate window state as required.
  4. Once done click on Ok button to make your settings and configuration persistent.

Once you are done with the above configuration you can double click on the shortcut of the application to get the demo of your recently configured settings. In order to withdraw the settings you can follow the above steps and choose the previously configured option from the drop-down list.
