Use Windows 7 Calculator as Unit Converter

Apart from standard calculations calculator integrated with Windows 7 can perform several different tasks which were not available in the legacy versions of the application in older Microsoft-based operating systems. With the help of new calculator in Windows 7 users can calculate dates mortgage vehicle economy etc. Moreover the application also contains the facility of unit conversion which can be used to convert several different units to other units accordingly. Unit conversion practically has nothing to do with the main interface of the calculator and therefore you need not to enter any digits in the main interface. Instead when unit conversion feature is enabled in the calculator its interface is extended and a new input area is displayed to the user. As a Windows 7 user if you want to use the calculator as a unit converter you are required to follow the steps given below:

  1. Logon to Windows 7 computer with any account.

  2. At the bottom of start menu in search box type CALC and press enter key.

  3. When the calculator is opened click on View menu.

  4. From the available list click on Unit conversion to view the extended interface of the calculator.

  5. From the available three drop-down lists choose the appropriate units as desired and then input the number in From field that you want to convert.

  6. You will be displayed with its converted value in Tofield instantaneously.
