Disable Notifications for Facebook Wall Posts

When a friend is added to a Facebook user account’s friends list by default he is allowed to write on the Wall of his added friend. He can type in something upload an image upload or share a video etc. in order to stay connected with his friend or share some important information with him if the account is used for official purpose. Whatsoever the case is whenever you friend posts something on your Wall you get a notification flashed on your Facebook webpage if you are online. If you are not online the notification will be displayed whenever you log back in to your Facebook account. Simultaneously notification e-mail is also sent to the e-mail account associated with your Facebook account which in many cases is not at all necessary and if as a Facebook user you want to disable e-mail notifications for Wall posts you can follow the steps given below:

  1. Logon to your Facebook account.

  2. Click on the triangle available at top right corner of the page.

  3. From the available list click on Account Settings.

  4. From the opened page click on Notifications category from the left pane and from the right pane click on Facebook options available under All Notifications section.

  5. From the expanded list uncheck the checkbox in front of Posts on Your Walloption.

  6. Click on Save Changes button at the bottom of the list to save the changes.
