Recycle Bin is an important place where all the deleted files are stored on a temporary basis. It works as a backup storing point from where deleted files can be easily restored in case they are not permanently removed from the recycle bin itself. The biggest drawback however with recycle bin is that it only appears on the desktop screen and because of this users can only use drag-and-drop feature when they are on the desktop. When users are in some other container or folder they need to right click on the object and then they need to select Delete option from the available menu. This limitation can easily be removed by modifying Windows registry. This small modification will allow users to have recycle bin in Windows Explorer as well. This process since requires administrative privileges elevated user account is required to be logged on in order to modify the registry. As a Windows 7 administrator if you want to do so you are required to follow the steps given as below:

1.  Logon to Windows 7 computer with the account that has elevated privileges.

2.  At the bottom of start menu search box type REGEDIT and press enter key.

3.  On Windows Registry Editor box locate HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerMyComputerNameSpace.

5.  From the available submenu click on Key and rename it with {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}.

6.  Close Registry Editorand if required restart the computer.
