Facebook allows users to keep a record of all the devices which were used to logon to their accounts and all the devices which are recognized by the Facebook can be viewed using a tool offered by the website which is known as Recognized Devices. Once the device is recognized by Facebook the website never asks users for the name of that very device when the user logs on to his Facebook account next time using the same device. However there might be cases when users have changed their devices for example they have purchased a new mobile phone or have upgraded their laptop PCs. In such cases they might want to remove the older recognized devices from their accounts for security reasons. As a Facebook user if you want to remove any older recognized device from your account you can follow the steps given below:

  1. Logon to the Facebook account you have.

  2. Click on the triangle available at the top right corner of the page.

  3. From the available list click on Account Settings.

  4. From the opened page click on Security from the left pane.

  5. From the right pane click on Recognized Devices and click on Removelink available in front of the older device that you want to remove from the database.

  6. Click on Save Changes button to make the changes permanent. Alternatively you can click on Undo link to undo the changes if you have made them by mistake.
