Wikihood

While most Google Chrome apps are nothing but widgets leading to a certain online service there are plenty of awesome ones worth checking out so today I decided to take one for a spin. After taking a quick look at various apps from various categories I decided that since knowledge is power and despite the fact that everywhere you look around the tendency is to see intelligent people disappearing and idiots multiplying at an alarming rate it wouldn't be a bad idea to talk about Wikihood...

... despite the fact there's not that much to talk about it after all - Wikihood allows you to browse the world's knowledge about any location worldwide nicely integrating Wikipedia information and detailed maps of the areas you choose with street map and satellite views available. Updated to version 1.0.1 on the 6th of May this Google Chrome app is only available in English and has 25390 users with a rating of 4.43/5 stars after 113 user reviews.

Sure some may say that Wikihood doesn't offer any special settings to mess with we're talking about a piece of code that "is based on the concept of the well known and awarded Wikihood app from the Apple Appstore" so no matter how much I may dislike Apple's products and most apps for them this time I have to agree with the fact that Wikihood's fame is well deserved. Surely a great addition to your Google Chrome if you ask me... so grab it for a quick spin what are you still waiting for? ;)
